Privacy policy

This page explains how the personal data of people who visit albertolatu.com or contact me is processed, under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003. Last updated: October 2026.

Data controller

Angelo Alberto Latu, VAT no. IT06264830487, Via Elsa 2, 50013 Campi Bisenzio (FI), Italy. Email: info@albertolatu.com.

What data I process

  • Data you send me: name, email, website and the content of your message when you use the contact form, write to info@albertolatu.com or contact me on WhatsApp.
  • Browsing data: the site’s systems automatically record some technical data (for example IP address, browser, pages visited, date and time), needed for the site to work and stay secure.
  • Cookies: the site uses technical cookies needed for it to work. Details are in the cookie policy.

Why I process it and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your requests and, if you ask, preparing a proposal: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Managing any working relationship and the related tax and accounting obligations: contract and legal obligations (Art. 6.1.b and 6.1.c GDPR).
  • Keeping the site secure and preventing abuse, such as form spam: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

I don’t use your data for newsletters or promotional messages without your specific consent, and I don’t sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

How long I keep it

Requests received through the form or by email are kept for as long as needed to handle them and no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless a working relationship follows: in that case the data is kept for the duration of the relationship and for the periods required by tax law (10 years). Browsing data is kept by the hosting provider only for as long as strictly needed for the security of the service.

Who may process data on my behalf

Data is processed by me and, for technical aspects, by providers acting as data processors:

  • Hostinger International Ltd (website hosting and sending of form emails);
  • Netsons (email service and domain);
  • WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta), only if you choose to contact me on WhatsApp, under its own privacy policy.

If a provider processes data outside the European Union, the transfer is based on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a readable format (Arts. 15-22 GDPR), by writing to info@albertolatu.com. If you believe the processing is not lawful, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it) or the authority in your country.

Required data

In the form, name, email, message and consent to this policy are required: without them I can’t reply. The website field is optional.
